OUR VERY FIRST HARVEST

This is the first year that we've had a garden to grow vegetables. I've wanted one for so long now. There is nothing better than home grown vegetables. Darcy claimed this as her garden. Every night she helped Daddy water and weed. We've been watching the corn and tomatoes ripen for a couple weeks. Last night we finally enjoyed some of our harvest. It was delicious!

This year we planted tomatoes, corn, basil and a pineapple we got in Hawaii. I never thought the pineapple would take, but it is! I can't wait to expand our garden next year.

I would love to do corn next year! We got tomato worms this year but atleast we got a few fruit before the plant was taken over. That's cool your pineapple took! We tried one last year with no success!

Seriously! Could your girls playing in the corn be any cuter??? Your mom is right, save the cornstalks for this fall. We'll have to do a photo shoot of all of our kids with the fall decorations... Imagine the cute blog pictures we could take!!!

Corn is 5 for $1.00 at Henry's! That's all I can rely on because I'm sure the whole crop would die if I was in charge. =)

I'm so jealous! A few years ago I tried gardening in pots on my balcony, but we didn't get enough sun. :( Such cute girls!
