We had so much fun in Hawaii. We left the girls with Grandma and Grandpa Pace and spent a week on the North Shore of Oahu. It really was the perfect getaway! We spent most of our days snorkeling, swimming, body surfing and hiking. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor, the Temple and Dole Plantation. We hiked Waimea Falls and Maunawili Falls. We ate lots of malasadas and shave ice.
We traveled with our friends, Alison and Fred Steinhorst.
Tom and Fred insisted on the Jeep. We drove around the island with the top down.
Our first outing was the botanical gardens at Waimea Falls.
The water was low this time but we loved swimming out to the falls anyway. Just a side note, this is the very waterfall Jack and Kate swam out to in the t.v. show LOST.

You lucky dogs!! It's been a few years but I could go back annually if it were up to me and $ wasn't a question. The beach house looks awesome and congrats on leaving the kids behind. We did on our last trip there and although I think they would've had fun...it's a great break, especially for the mommy's I think!! P.S. Don't you LOVE 'shave ice?'
